Description

The Dell SC1425 server is very popular. It combines high capacity SATA RAID storage in an inexpensive 1U package. It is a great server for hosting where you need allot of reliable storage. Dual Gigabit Ethernet and Dual Xeon processors give it enough power to carry a heavy load. 

Dell servers are known for great Microsoft support. Dell has all of their drives in one convent website. This will save you time loading operating system on your system.

This machine uses the faster 800 Mhz Front Side bus with DDR-2 Memeory. This machine is a 1 3/4" tall 1U form factor server. It's allows for high density in your rack.

This server supports on board SATA hardware RAID. It allows for mirroring or striping of data between disk drives. Striping will double your read & write performance. Mirroring will double your read performance and allow for your system to keep running uninterrupted when you have a disk drive fail.

    First time buy from UnixSurplus. Server shipped exactly as ordered. Perfect for non-critical applications having only one PSU. Added more RAM to boost performance. Didn't receive tracking information until the 5th business day after order, but item had already been shipped so not a problem. Server is for replicated horizontal database model so this $99 server was a more cost effective option versus a haunking $10,000 server. Will buy from UnixSurplus again.
